Daragh Clune | Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Clune has served as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of IRC since September 2016. He has served as Chief Investment Officer since September 2014. He has over 20 years of investment and financial markets experience. Most recently, Mr. Clune was an Executive Director and Deputy Global Head of Portfolio Management for the Dexia Banking Group from 2005 – 2014. Here he was responsible for a team of asset managers who ran one of the largest financial fixed income portfolios in Europe. He was also responsible for the government and corporate bond portfolios of the Dexia Group. Prior to this he held senior trading positions within Royal Bank of Scotland’s and HSBC’s Global Markets divisions. Mr. Clune is a graduate of University College Dublin and the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business.
Lawrence F.Metz | Chairman & Non-Executive Director
Mr. Metz has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Maiden Holdings, Ltd. since September 2018. From February 2016 to August 2018, he served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, and served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary from June 2009 until January 2016. He also served as President of Maiden Global Servicing Company, LLC from May 2015 to August 2018. From 2007-2009, Mr. Metz served as Vice President, General Counsel – US Operations and Assistant Secretary of AmTrust Financial Services, Inc., a publicly-traded multinational property and casualty insurer specializing in coverage for small businesses. From 2004-2007, Mr. Metz served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of a publicly-traded provider of information management and business process optimization solutions. Mr. Metz received a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, and is a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Metz serves on the Board of Overseers of the RAND Institute for Civil Justice, and formerly served as the Chair and Vice Chair of the Legal Subcommittee of the Legal and Government Affairs Committee of the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America, and also formerly served on the Board of Advisors of the RAND Center for Corporate Ethics and Governance.
Patrick J. Haveron | Non-Executive Director
Mr. Haveron has served as Executive Vice President of Maiden Holdings since 2010 and as President of Maiden Reinsurance since February 2014. Previously he has served as President of Maiden Global Servicing Company, LLC. From 2004-2009, Mr. Haveron was President and Chief Executive Officer of Preserver Group, Inc., a publicly-traded property and casualty insurer, after having served in a variety of financial and executive leadership roles since 1988. Mr. Haveron was also Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Tower Group, Inc., a publicly-traded property and casualty insurer, from 2007-2009 after its acquisition of Preserver in 2007. Mr. Haveron has previously served on the board of governors of the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America and is a graduate of the University of Scranton.
